Privacy Policy
It's Your Data...We Don't Want It.
Last updated: June 24 2026.
Our Philosophy
Indomitus Group builds privacy-first desktop software. We believe your data belongs to you, full stop. Our applications run locally on your computer, store your data on your machine, and do not phone home. We don't run analytics inside our apps, we don't collect telemetry, and we don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
This policy explains the small amount of information we do handle — almost all of it tied to processing your purchase and delivering your license — and what we do with it.
Information Our Applications Collect
None.
Our applications (including indiPDF, indiAccounting, and indiBudget) do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. Specifically, our apps contain:
- No telemetry or usage analytics
- No crash reporting that transmits data without your action
- No advertising or tracking SDKs
- No account requirement or cloud login
All documents, financial records, and other data you create with our software are stored locally on your own device. We never see them, and we have no ability to access them.
License activation, where applicable, involves verifying your license key. We do not use license checks to track your usage or build a profile of you.
Information We Collect When You Make a Purchase
When you purchase one of our applications, we collect the minimum information needed to complete the transaction and deliver your license:
- Email address — used to deliver your license key and, if needed, to respond to support requests or notify you of critical updates related to your purchase.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Purchase records — we retain a record of your purchase (product, date, license key, and the email it was issued to) so we can verify your license, assist with lost keys, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your purchase information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in to hear from us.
Information Collected by Our Website
Our website does not use advertising networks, tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics service. We do not share website data with anyone.
We do use privacy-respecting, self-hosted analytics (Umami) to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are popular — the same basic questions any site owner asks. This analytics runs entirely on our own servers, not a third party's. It is cookie-free, sets nothing on your device, and does not collect or store personal information, fingerprint your browser, or track you across sites or sessions. It records only aggregate, anonymous information such as page views, approximate referrer, general device, browser, and operating system type, and the country a visit originates from. Because no personal data is collected and no cookies are used, there is nothing to consent to and no banner to click.
Like nearly all websites, our web server also automatically generates standard access logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. We use these logs solely for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical problems. Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
Our website and infrastructure are hosted on servers we administer ourselves in the European Union.
Email Communication
If you email us with a support question, we'll use your email address to respond. We keep support correspondence so we can reference past issues if you contact us again. We don't add support contacts to any mailing list.
How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, with these narrow exceptions:
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Legal requirements — if we are compelled by valid legal process, we will disclose only what is legally required, and we will resist overbroad requests.
- Business transfer — in the unlikely event Indomitus Group is acquired or merged, purchase records may transfer to the successor, who would remain bound by this policy or one no less protective.
Data Retention
- Purchase and license records are retained for as long as needed to support your lifetime license and to meet legal and tax obligations.
- Server logs are retained for a short operational window and then deleted.
- Support emails are retained as long as reasonably useful for providing you support.
Your Rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you (it won't be much)
- Correct inaccurate information, such as updating the email associated with your license
- Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal obligations to retain transaction records
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions with data protection laws may have additional statutory rights, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. We honor these requests for all customers regardless of location, because it's the right thing to do.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
Children's Privacy
Our products and website are intended for general audiences and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Because we collect so little, changes are likely to be rare and minor. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page.
